Tour Cost $115.00 USD or $140.00 CAD Each Guest.
Join us for a six-hour tour of Nova Scotia's stunning South Shore, featuring highlights such as Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, and Peggy's Cove—a perfect option for those interested in Halifax history tours.
Just an hour from Halifax, Lunenburg was founded in 1752 and is recognized as the oldest German settlement in Canada. This picturesque town boasts a variety of galleries, natural beauty, and warm hospitality. It’s no wonder that the Old Town of Lunenburg is designated as a U.N.E.S.C.O. World Heritage Site. With its impressive buildings and the renowned Lunenburg Academy, it offers an array of great restaurants ideal for seafood enthusiasts. Take a stroll along the waterfront to spot Bluenose II (dates vary) or visit the Fisherman’s Memorial Museum (small fee) for some vibrant photos.
Next, we head to Mahone Bay, established in 1754 by German, Swiss, and French Protestants. This charming town feels like a step back in time to the gentler era of the 1800s. Once a shipbuilding hub, Mahone Bay is now celebrated for its serene parks, beautiful waterfront views, and lush wooded areas interlaced with walking trails. It’s no surprise that the locals pride themselves on being the most welcoming people on the stunning shores of Atlantic Canada, attracting settlers from all over the globe. Don't miss a photo stop at the picturesque Trinity Church.
You will then enjoy breathtaking views of Nova Scotia's shoreline along the Lighthouse Route 333, leading from Hubbard's/Queensland to the quaint fishing village of Peggy's Cove. Famous for its lore of pirates and shipwrecks, Peggy's Cove offers free time to explore the rocky landscape, walking trails, quaint village, and numerous boutiques and gift shops. Known as a paradise for artists and explorers alike, this postcard-perfect village sits above the crashing surf and is said to feature the most photographed lighthouse in the world. Your tour concludes with a one-hour drive back to Halifax.
All prices are tax included; however, guide gratuity (tip) and lunch are not included.
